What is ecommerce attribution software?
Ecommerce attribution software tracks which ads, channels and campaigns lead to each order in an online store, so a brand can see where its ad spend is actually working and move budget accordingly. AdBeacon is a click-only, first-party ecommerce attribution platform for Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce brands. Every attributed order ties back to a real ad click and the store’s own order record, not a platform’s self-reported view-through estimate.
Why start from the order, not the ad platform?
Ad platforms report on their own performance, and each one counts conversions its own way. When Meta, Google and TikTok all take credit for the same order, the combined numbers add up to more revenue than your store ever made. First-party attribution starts from the order instead of the ad platform, so every channel is measured against the same record.

Ad platforms grade their own homework.
Every platform wants credit for every sale. Meta counts people who scrolled past an ad. Google counts branded searches from customers who were already coming back. TikTok counts views. Add their reports together and you get a revenue number your store never recorded.
Why the gap costs you money
That gap doesn’t just make reports messy. It decides where your next dollar goes. Brands scale the channel that claims the most credit, not the one that drove the sale, and wonder why blended results don’t follow.
How AdBeacon fixes it
AdBeacon shows both numbers side by side: what each platform reports, and what your store’s first-party data says. You keep the platform view for context and make decisions on the verified one.

Triple Whale, Northbeam and Hyros are well-known tools built by smart teams. Here’s where AdBeacon is different.

Who AdBeacon is built for.
The short answer, in one paragraph
AdBeacon is built for ecommerce brands on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or a custom store that spend roughly $10,000 or more per month on ads across channels like Meta, Google, TikTok and Amazon. It fits best for brands that already sense their platform-reported ROAS doesn’t match their store’s revenue and want click-only, first-party data to decide where budget goes.
Great fit
- DTC ecommerce brands spending $10k+ per month on ads
- Brands running two or more paid channels
- Teams with an in-house media buyer, an agency, or both
- Brands on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or a custom store
Not the right fit
- Lead generation or local service businesses
- B2B companies without online checkout
- Brands spending under about $10k per month on ads

What changed for ecommerce attribution from 2023 to 2026.
Four platform changes that made first-party data essential for ecommerce brands.
Data-driven attribution becomes the default
Google Ads made data-driven attribution the default and retired the first click, linear, time decay and position-based models.
Andromeda ad retrieval
Meta introduced Andromeda, which decides which ads are eligible to show. Genuinely different creative concepts now win.
Plus thank-you pages upgraded
On August 28, 2025, Additional Scripts stopped running on Shopify Plus thank-you pages, and many purchase pixels went silent.
Additional Scripts retired for every store
On August 26, 2026, Additional Scripts stopped running on thank-you and order status pages for all remaining Shopify plans.

What is ecommerce attribution software?
Ecommerce attribution software tracks which ads, channels and campaigns lead to each order in an online store. AdBeacon does this with click-only, first-party data, tying every attributed order to a real ad click and the store’s own order record, so brands can see where ad spend actually works.
How is AdBeacon different from the ROAS in Meta Ads Manager or Google Ads?
Ad platforms report on their own performance and often take credit for view-through conversions, where someone saw an ad but never clicked. AdBeacon counts only real ad clicks matched to orders in your store, and shows each platform’s reported numbers next to the first-party numbers so you can compare them directly.
Why don’t my ad platforms add up to my store revenue?
Each platform counts conversions its own way, and several can claim the same order. When Meta, Google and TikTok all take credit for one purchase, their combined reported revenue is higher than what your store recorded. AdBeacon starts from the store order, so each sale is counted once.
What is the difference between ROAS and MER?
ROAS (return on ad spend) divides the revenue attributed to a channel, campaign or ad by its spend. MER (marketing efficiency ratio) divides total store revenue by total marketing spend. AdBeacon shows both, plus first-party ROAS by channel, so you can see overall efficiency and which channels drive it.
Does AdBeacon work with WooCommerce and BigCommerce?
Yes. AdBeacon connects natively to Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, plus custom and headless storefronts with hands-on help. Magento and Adobe Commerce support is coming soon.
Which ad platforms does AdBeacon connect to?
Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest, Snapchat and Amazon Ads, plus Klaviyo, GA4 and Recharge (beta). Reddit Ads and ChatGPT Ads are coming soon.
How much does AdBeacon cost for ecommerce brands?
Brand plans start at $299/mo billed monthly with a 30-day free trial. Annual Anchor starts at $239/mo on a 12-month term, saving $720 a year. Annual Scaling offers fixed pricing regardless of revenue tracked. Every plan includes every feature.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every brand can try AdBeacon free for 30 days with every feature included.
How long does setup take?
Most stores connect in as little as 15 minutes. Setup is simple, with hands-on help from our team to make sure every connection is complete and tracking accurately.
How long is AdBeacon’s attribution lookback window?
Up to 180 days, on first-party click data.
Which attribution models does AdBeacon offer?
First click, last click, linear excluding direct and Lighthouse. Lighthouse is AdBeacon’s optimization model: it credits only the clicks from the platform you’re optimizing, giving a fair way to grade each platform’s performance.
Does AdBeacon include media mix modeling?
Yes. Google’s Meridian MMM is included for brands, alongside click-based, first-party attribution.
Can I use AdBeacon data in AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Luma, AdBeacon’s built-in AI, surfaces insights and recommendations from your first-party data, and the AdBeacon API and MCP Server let you connect that data to AI assistants for deeper analysis.
How does AdBeacon compare to Triple Whale, Northbeam and Hyros?
All three are established tools. AdBeacon differs in using click-only, first-party attribution, flat brand plans starting at $299/mo rather than pricing that scales with spend or GMV, and including every feature, Google Meridian MMM included, on every plan. See the full comparison at adbeacon.com/adbeacon-vs-other-tools/.
Is AdBeacon a good fit for my brand?
AdBeacon fits ecommerce brands spending roughly $10,000 or more per month on ads. It isn’t built for lead generation, local service or B2B businesses without online checkout.
Can my agency use AdBeacon with me?
